I was wondering why the names of the individuals who pay for Masses is no longer being listed in the bulletin.
There is no reason for the name of the individual who gives an offering to have a Mass celebrated for a particular intention to be listed in the bulletin. We list the intention that the Mass is being celebrated for as a way to notify our parishioners or other interested persons who may wish to attend the Mass. The most important thing is that the Mass is being celebrated for the specific intention. With limited resources and space available only necessary information is contained in the bulletin.
